Thank-you all who have been praying for us today. We are so thankful to report that surgery went "beautifully". We will know for certain in the next twenty four hours if the cancer has spread, but the initial tests on the lymph nodes show that the cancer was only in the breast. The doctor was pleased with the way surgery went. When we left the hospital, my mom was already sitting up enjoying some yummy hospital food!
Last night at church we sang the wonderful hymn It Is Well. I have loved that hymn for years, but was reminded last night, that no matter what the circumstances of life may bring, It is Well with my soul because God has made it well with his sacrifice! Only through the blood of Christ can we say with confidence that It is Well!
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed his own blood for my soul.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.

Today we called upon The Good Shepard and he heard our prayers. Please continue to pray that healing will come quickly!

It is Well! Lord may we always remember! If there is anything we can do please let me know. Meanwhile we pray.
Praise God! We'll be keeping you all in our prayers
Man's estate is indeed helpless apart from Christ. Terri and I rejoice to know God has revealed this cancer early enough to allow the Sitton family to enjoy continuing blessing together for years to come. Call for help if needed.
Love in Christ who is the Head of the Church.
