She's Back!

Dear Ones,

We are almost four weeks post surgery and my mom is back at work! I have been amazed, overwhelmed, and humbled by the acts of service and love bestowed on our family over the past few weeks. It has been a pleasure to be on the receiving end of what the bible teaches regarding caring for one another. I'm pretty confident I can speak for the whole family when I say we have seen these things:

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality...Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep...."

Romans 12:10-13, 15

I went to an Oncologist on Thursday. We are waiting on a fairly new test to see if chemo would be beneficial or not. I will know the results in 2 weeks. If I do have chemo it will be 4 doses, each 3 weeks apart.
I am slowing healing. Of course, for me it is not fast enough. It has just been 11 days since the surgery but I am tired of being tender! I hope to go back to work soon and I want to be ready.
Thank you everyone for your prayers. A friend wrote me a note and said they were “storming heaven” for me. Wow! To think that people are going to the Throne of Grace and asking the King for healing for me.

Quick Update

My Mom went to the surgeon today and was encouraged by the doctor's response to her recovery. He removed a drainage tube that had been placed during surgery and again emphasized that the lymph nodes they tested were not cancerous.

On Thursday she'll see an oncologist and so we'll hopefully know more then.

Please continue to pray for her healing. She hopes to be back to work in a few weeks until the chemo starts.
